Felicidad's Granville Grand UD
I currently live outside of Dallas Texas, on 8 acres with several Berners. They share the space with my horse and cat. I began my experience with Bernese in 1988, with a pet male. Felicidad's Granville Grand went on to become a Utility Dog in AKC obedience and to get his Herding Instinct Certification from the American Herding Breeds Association. The love and devotion I enjoyed from this dog inspired me to want to become more involved in the world of Bernese Mountain Dogs. As much as Granville was a great dog for training and a devoted companion, he was equally beset with various health problems. Through him I learned that to breed these dogs meant taking on a responsibility to always strive for soundness of body as well as temperament. The years to follow also taught me how difficult that can be, even in the best planned breedings.
